We recommend your children see the dentist for the first time as a patient sometime around 3 years old. Some children will develop a fear of the dentist over time due to stories from family or friends, movies, or just fear of the unknown. Scheduling your kids for a “fun visit” early on will teach them there is nothing to be afraid of. As a result, they will be more likely to have a healthy smile for a lifetime.
Many pediatric offices don’t take the time to really get to know your child, what they want, and what they need. We will take the time to make your child feel at ease, get comfortable, and work quickly before they get restless. Dr. Slager has two daughters and he will treat your children just like they are his own.
